Come to the Civic Festivities of Liberia 2012, which are taking place from February 23rd until March 4th, where you will definitely spend different days. Here we give you the activity program of the celebrations.
The event is promoting the rescue of the customs, traditions and the cultural values of Guanacaste.

Thursday, February 23rd
5:00am: Firecrackers announce the beginning of the festivities, and the traditional “Diana” starts throughout the neighborhoods and districts of Liberia, reminding the villagers that the celebrations have begun
12:00 noon: Firecrackers announce that the Traditional Bull Parade is parting from Puente Real towards the fairground, with Miss Jimena Arias, Queen 2011
3:00pm: Bull rides with La Sombra cattle farm of Felix Eras of Quebrada Grande and 4 miuras of Hacienda La Pinta of Martin Vallejos
6:00pm: Crowning of the Queen at the Parque Mario Cañas Ruiz and then dancing concert with Son del Barrio and Taboga Band
9:00pm: Amazing fireworks and lighting in the streets of Liberia
9:00pm: Bull rides with Burro Blanco cattle farm of Manuel Coronado of Bagaces and 4 miuras of Hacienda La Pinta of Martin Vallejos
Friday, February 24th
5:00am: Cheerful “Diana” throughout the streets of Liberia
12:00 noon: Traditional Bull Parade parting from Puente Real towards the fairground
