There’s no excuse to say there aren’t any spaces that support culture and recreational activities, because “Teatro al Mediodia” returns with 36 proposals for all audiences during 2012.
18 dance performances, 44 musical performances, the opera “Tosca” by the National Lyric Company, two flamenco shows, three ballet shows and the Poetry Festival have been scheduled for the main stage.
If you’re planning on visiting the capital during the next days, come to “Teatro al Mediodia” every Tuesday starting on February 14th, 2012.
Don’t worry about where to stay because Hotel Parque del Lago, your entry and exit doorway to Costa Rica, welcomes you to spend your nights with a perfect location and high-quality services.
As from the second Tuesday of March, there won’t be any shows of “Teatro al Mediodia” because the National Theater will participate in the International Art Festival 2012 (FIA 2012).
On Tuesday, April 10th, this space will return with the play “Las controversias de Valladolid”, by the group Terruño Espressivo. This play deals with the famous dispute between August 1550 and April 1551 at the San Gregorio School of Valladolid, with the controversy of the Native Americans and the two antagonistic ways of perceiving America’s conquest.
Since 2009 this initiative has given the opportunity to many Costa Ricans to visit the National Theater and appreciate quality shows of different artistic disciplines in an accessible schedule.
The Hotel Parque del Lago feels proud to know that the National Theater opens these spaces for tourists and locals, so they can get involved in the artists’ work and appreciate their effort, who try to give the best impression of Costa Rica.
