On November 20th, Eddie Vedder, lead singer of the American band and its other members will give to the Costa Rican fans what they have been waiting for several years in the National Stadium.
From all the bands that have discussed playing in the country sometime, Pearl Jam always had a strange behavior, similar to a girlfriend that’s hard to convince that the relationship’s worth it. It’s been many years since the Costa Rican audience feels prepared to see one of the greatest rock bands of the last decades.
Pearl Jam is touring throughout South and Central America, according to information provided by their fan club Ten, starting on November 4th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where they will offer 4 presentations. After that they will visit Argentina, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico.
Pearl Jam is considered one of the key bands inside the scene of Alternative Rock in the 1990s.
The band was formed after a sad event, the death of Andrew Wood in 1990 from a heroin overdose, the lead singer of the band Mother Love Bone, group of Seattle conformed by the rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard and the bassist Jeff Ament, two ex-members of the prominent group Green River, influenced by The Stooges and Led Zeppelin.
The event will be managed by the producer RPMTV (Xtreme Family Entertainment S.A.), who has already worked in massive productions in Costa Rica.
The prices of the tickets range between ¢9.000 (around $18) and ¢52.000 (around $104), and can be bought in Credix stands, in the website www.laboleteria.co.cr, in the RPMTV selling point in Multiplaza Escazu, at the phone number (506) 8000-273-349 (8000-Credix) or at the call center (506) 2549-5030.
