Achievements of Vicente Fernandez:

In 1990 he released the album Vicente Fernandez and the classic songs of Jose Alfredo Jimenez, album for which he received the Billboard and Univision America Music Award for Mexican Regional Male Artist of the Year. He won this award 5 times from 1990 to 1993.

Vicente stayed in the popularity list with two albums of greatest hits, “Historia de un idolo Vol. 1”, which has 17 songs and was introduced in 2000, and “Historia de un idolo Vol. 2”, introduced in 2001. He also received the Billboard award to Latin Music for his compilation of greatest hits.

In 2002, Fernandez received the recognition from the Recording Latin Academy as Person of the Year. This same year he celebrated his 35th anniversary in the entertainment industry, a career where he has sold more than 50 million copies.

He has 51 albums with gold, platinum and multi-platinum recognitions from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He also has a star with his name in the Hollywood Walk of Fame, California.
