The Fair will take place on February 17th, 18th and 19th, 2012 in the Gymnasium of Villa Olimpica in Desamparados.

Preserving and rescuing orchids through cultivation methods and sensitizing people about the importance of observing ecological criteria in the management of orchids are the main objectives of the Fair.

Orchid lovers will have the opportunity to observe and purchase them at very accessible prices, where you can find from white and purple Guarias (Costa Rica’s National Flower), Trichopilias, Lluvias, Catleyas, Phalaenopsis and Dendrobiums, to colorful hybrid plants.

The event will have a schedule from 8:00am to 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday it will be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm. The entrances cost ¢1.500 (around $3) for adults and ¢1.000 (around $2) for children.
